Our Story

Ortech Talent was founded by Steve Katz to bring proven recruiting principles and organizational expertise to the technology industry.

Steve spent eight years as Director of IT for a hospital system serving over 15,000 clients, leading technology teams, managing enterprise IT initiatives, and developing talent across the organization. He saw firsthand how the right people, placed in the right roles with the right support, can transform an organization's technology capabilities.

Currently pursuing a part-time doctorate in psychology, Steve combines deep technical knowledge with an understanding of organizational dynamics and human systems.

Ortech Talent operates alongside Ortek Group, the life sciences recruiting firm founded by Steve's father, Uri Katz, nearly 30 years ago. Working as a family business isn't just our structure. It's our competitive advantage.
